To Benefit The Battle Buddy Foundation
Dancing with Our Stars is a friendly dance competition where non-profits come together to raise money and awareness for their causes. Santa Clarita Valley’s Dancing with Our Stars started in 2009 and has raised $1,500,000 for local non-profit organizations. Each non-profit chooses a local celebrity to represent them as their dancer. Each celebrity is paired with a professional dancer who will choreograph a dance for the night of the event which they will perform for the audience and judges. Judges will choose a best male and female celebrity dancer. Those two winners will be awarded $1,000 for their non-profit. Additionally, there will be a first, second and third place winner based on the amount of money raised. Those three winners will also get extra money from our event.

MEET OUR STAR
Vanessa Rutherford
Vanessa Rutherford is an engineer at HPD, the racing division of Honda, with previous experience in aerospace. She moved to SCV in 2002, and joined the JCI SCV chapter in 2003. She has been involved in community projects ever since, and was recognized as a 40 Under 40 in 2014. She joined the Battle Buddy Foundation in 2016 to help with the 1st annual golf event and is honored to represent TBBF and her husband who is a Marine in her Dancing with Our Stars debut.
